One of the most critical aspects of an european move is the quality of packing, handling and packing materials. We choose our packing crew and the quality of our packing materials with infinite care. As specialists in international moving, all our export packing crews are fully trained, fully experienced and up to date in all the latest packing techniques. We can also confirm that all our packers, drivers and porters work for Dolphin Movers on a full time basis.
All export packing takes place in your home prior to the moving day using only the best available materials. Our materials are purpose made specifically to protect your belongings whilst in transit. We use waterproofed padded blanket furniture wrap, acid free tissue paper, sturdy corrugated sheets, bubble wrap, a vast array of reinforced cartons, jiffy foam and extra strong sealing tape. We have specialised export cartons specifically made for certain items such as wardrobe cartons for hanging your clothing and keeping them crease free, smaller cartons for heavier objects and larger cartons for lighter objects. Fragile items such fine art, antiques, pianos, grandfather clocks, glass display cabinets, paintings etc, will be packed using the appropriate materials and cased or crated for added protection. We design and build made to measure timber crates and cases tailored to your needs.
Any private or personal items you wish to pack should you choose to do so can be packed by you before our packing team arrives. Delivery of any materials you require can be arranged with your move manager.
On completion of packing our packing crew will clearly label every item with our computerised labels at your residence with item number, customer name, reference number and final destination details. Our crew will also supply you with a numbered inventory list containing the content information of each item packed. A copy of this list will be provided to you on completion of the export packing and loading. This list will also be sent to our agents at destination to ensure an accurate check of all pieces on delivery to your new residence abroad.
Upon labelling all your items every piece will then be loaded either in to our specialised removal vehicle or into a sea-freight container depending on what your agreement with our move manager.
Additional information
Remember to keep any essential items you will require for your travel separate i.e. passports, visas, certificates etc so they not accidentally packed.
If your shipment is being loaded into a sea-freight container at your residence try keeping aside any pieces you will require immediately at your new home, these pieces will be loaded on last to gain access to straight away when unloading at destination.
Advise our packers what items are for air freight, if there are any.
